How to Install DOT Air Fittings
Push-to-connect DOT air fittings are engineered for straightforward installation for air brake lines, pneumatic systems, and more. Use these steps while assembling your pneumatic system:- Cut tubing squarely with an allowable maximum of 15°.
- Check the mating part’s port and clean if necessary.
- Insert the tubing into the fitting until it bottoms, pushing at least twice to verify the tube is inserted past the collet and O-ring.
- Pull on the tubing to verify that it is securely inserted.
